| Socially Responsible At Based in Bristol, we believe that it is important to give back to the community to which we all belong. That is the reason behind our social responsibility programme. ![]() Each year, we select five local charities from the following sectors: > Children > Health > Culture > Environment > Animals You, the people of Bristol get to choose which of these charities we will support this year by voting for your favourite. The top three charities will then receive a donation from us: First placed charity: 50% of our social responsibility fund Second placed charity: 30% of our social responsibility fund Third placed charity: 20% of our social responsibility fund ![]() The size of the social responsibility fund depends on the number of companies actively listed in our Business Directory database. 100-199 companies listed: 1% of our total revenue 200-299 companies listed: 2% of our total revenue 300-399 companies listed: 3% of our total revenue 400-499 companies listed: 4% of our total revenue and so on up to a maximum of 10% of our total revenue if we have over 1000 companies listed! Environmentally Responsible We also believe it is important to take care of the natural world around us, and so we have a 'zero-impact' environmental policy in place. Carbon negative - we offset over and above the energy used to run our website and the associated business activities. This is done through the purchase of carbon credits from ClimateCare. For more information on how this works, please see: Recycle where possible - all of our waste is recycled appropriately, and any printed material is printed on recycled paper, using inks derived from vegetable oils. Fairly traded & locally sourced - all food stuffs supplied to our office are bought from Fair Trade companies where possible, and locally sourced to ensure a fair deal for growers and reduce the amount of carbon emissions released in the transportation of the goods. |
